Adding an Image
After adding the photo Album module to a tab select Add Photo from the edit photo Album Menu.
You can then select an image from your local machine/network to upload, you can also add a title which will be displayed over the thumbnail and in view mode. You can also add a description of the image which will be diplayed in view mode. When a photo is added it is placed in a directory in the current portal upload directory named after the module ID of the album. e.g. portals/0/352/imagemname.gif. For each new photo album module a new directory will be created in the current portals upload directory. New to 1.03.00 you can also select a zip file of several images for batch uploads. With Batch uploads all images will recieve the same title and description until individually edited.
Setting Album Options
Each Album can have its own settings for thumbnail size and for the number of thumbnails per row in the album. The Demo Album on this page has a thumbnail width of 198px and a repeat value of 1. This will cause a vertical Image list to be displayed.
If the thumbnail width is larger than an image in the albums width, the image will not be stretched but displayed at its actual size, this is to prevent images getting distorted. When the thumbnails are created they are scaled to the same ratio as the original image. e.g. an image of 500 x 250 with thumbnail width of 100px will be 100 x 50. Multiple Photo Albums can be added to a portal/tab with different thumbnail widths and thumbnails per row.
Viewing Full size Image
When an image thumbnail is clicked on, a full size version of the image will be displayed on its own page with the title and description. Multiple Photo Albums can be added to a portal/tab with different thumbnail widths and thumbnails per row.
